TMEA All-State: 18 advance to second round

The choir had 21 students participate in TMEA All-State Large School Competition (5A/6A) this weekend. Of those 21, 18 students placed in the top 20 of their vocal category to advance to the next round.

Normally this competition would be held in person, but due to Covid-19 it was held virtually.

“We have worked extremely hard together since the first day of school, and with the help of Mary Rokohl (middle school choir director) and the support of our wonderful administrators, we were able to represent our district in true TM fashion,” choir director Oscar Lara said.

The following students advanced to the second round of the competition in which they must now learn a new set of music in a little over a month.
